Nigun quickly ordered the Priest contingent to heal the Summoners, who quickly called out more Angels. ![]() His men laid on the ground, seeming motionless - apparently, the Spell used by the mysterious Magic Caster had caused damage to the Summoners. Nigun of the Slane Theocracy’s Special Operations Unit - the Sunlight Scripture - looked shocked as he stared at Ainz. “Good grief, they were much weaker than I expected.” Ainz muttered, deliberately speaking loud enough for the soldiers to hear him. “You! What did you do?!” Nigun sounded like he was about to panic, his voice was much higher-pitched than normal. It went beyond all of their common sense. Who could do such a thing in an instant? With a single word from Ainz, all of the Angels were sliced, diced, and dissolved into motes of light. “Where is Gazef Stronoff?” A man stepped forwards, shouting towards Ainz as he raised his hand, signaling his men to be ready to launch their Spells in any moment. Standing opposite him was a small army of people who were all dressed like Magic Casters and Priests, with Angels floating above them. Īinz walked forwards and into the field outside the borders of Carne Village. “I will do so at once.” Pandora’s Actor posed theatrically before shifting into the form of the best Assassin in the Guild, Flatfoot, and using. “Pandora’s Actor, transform into either Nishikienrai or Flatfoot to stealthily search for any ambushers. With those words, before Gazef could say anything, Ainz stepped out the door with Pandora’s Actor following closely behind. Stay in here and keep the villagers safe.” “From what I can tell, they are Archangel Flames…” He looked at the three Magic Casters, “I will be going out and handling things. Gazef turned to look at the mumbling Ainz, and asked with a hopeful look on his face: “.Is that an Archangel Flame? It looks similar enough, but what is a Monster like that doing here - could it have been summoned by Magic too? That means…” In short, he had nothing - although, there still might be a trump card that he could utilize. Gazef knew that he didn’t have enough men, he was under-equipped for a battle like this, and he had no plans in mind. “I didn’t expect the Slane Theocracy to be after me…” He snorted. ![]() However, the Angels summoned this time, with their shining breastplates and flaming swords, were unknown to him. However, it was the winged Monsters floating beside them which confirmed both their vocation and nationality.Īngels were Monster summoned from another world, and they were usually summoned by the soldiers of the Slane Theocracy - who believed them to be the soldiers of the gods. Many Magic Casters disliked armour and weapons, preferring lighter gear. However, they didn’t give off even the slightest sensation of weakness. They were unarmed and wearing white robes. “I see…So, it was them.” Gazef looked - through the opened door of the house in which he and quite a few villagers hid - at the people surrounding the village.įrom his vantage point, he could only see three people, all of whom were slowly advancing on the village while maintaining an even separation from each other. ![]()
